Moving right along!

We've now got a full week under our belts, and we're ready to roll right into regularly scheduled classroom learning. In Reading, we'll be focusing on these two learning targets for the next two weeks:
  • Students will be able to identify the conflict, rising action, climax, and resolution in a story.
  • Students will be able to identify character traits of characters within a story.
Parents, please remember that your child will be completing a nightly reading log each week. This log, which is linked in the "important documents" section of this site, will always be due on the last day of each week. Students will need to have both sides of the log complete, and will also need a parent signature to verify their work. Thank you for supporting your child in this important weekly assignment!

In Language Arts, we are currently working on the following learning target:
  • Students will be able to write complete sentences, and will be able to identify sentence fragments.
We will also begin working on writing personal memoirs. This first big writing project will give your child a chance to explore a personally meaningful event while practicing proper writing techniques.
